Client Spotlight #2 — Century Conveyor Systems, Inc.

TVD is happy to announce the launch of centuryconveyor.com. Century Conveyor is based out of New Jersey and mainly deals in the material handling business. Jason and I enjoyed our time collaborating with the Century team.

Century took advantage of one of the options that we offer which is a weekly teleconference meeting in which we go over what was completed from last week and what we would like to get done in the week to come. Jason and I have found that this helps build momentum in progressing with the site. Most of our clients choose to have a meeting in some interval and we welcome it.

A couple of features that we would like to highlight:

Century Conveyor: Animation Numbers & Infographics

Movement is key in order to gain the attention of a viewer in this day in age. We accomplished that by adding movement to easily digestible stats for Conveyor. These are right below the homepage slider purposely making it one of the first elements that a viewer sees.

We plotted an interactive map that shows multiple types of locations all over the United States. Again we are playing to the shortening attention span of the viewer. We only have a little window of time in order to grab the attention of a viewer and adding elements like these can help assist in doing that.

Client Spotlight #1 – Cool Summer Nights

In our 1st Client Spotlight, we are featuring Cool Summer Nights

Cool Summer Nights is a car show held on the waterfront grounds at Lakeside Motel & Resort in Trout Creek, Montana. It is one of the biggest events not only at Lakeside but also in Trout Creek each year. In talking with the event organizers we wanted to convey two things with the branding: the cars and the live music. As you can see the car is prominently displayed, a little more subtly is the guitar pick in the background. We are happy that our client is happy. We will be implementing this branding on all their printed materials, signage, and website.

FAQ – 6 Frequently Asked Questions

Welcome to TunnelVisionDesign.com

Below is our FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions). Please, if you have any more questions reach out and we will answer them as fast as we can.

What do your websites cost?

The short answer: Our prices depend on so many factors, it’s impossible to say in one sentence. Avoid any web developer who can answer this question without a long talk.

The long answer: To get a better idea of the cost of what you want to build, give us a quick phone call. We’ll ask you a few questions about the nature of the site, what sort of interactivity the site will have, your graphic design needs, etc. Then we’ll be able to give you a ballpark figure. If you’re still interested, we’ll come to your place of business and come up with a firm quote.
If you talk to a web developer who gives you an instant quote, run away! Imagine telling someone you want a car and having them immediately giving you a price for that car. Any fair and honest car salesperson would want to know the make, model and engine type of the car you’re looking to purchase, right? The same goes for building web sites. Depending on the features you want for your web site, the cost can be anywhere from a few thousand dollars to a few million.

Will I have a say in the graphic design process?

Absolutely. Our goal is to please you. We can’t do that without your input. If there are other sites with a design style that you would like to emulate, we can do that. If you have a logo or brand collateral that you’d like us to work around, that’s no problem. We’ll be sure your new site will be a consistent and integral part of your overall brand.

Another company says they can build a web site for us for $600. Why shouldn’t we use them?

We’ve seen those ads on the side of the road, too. Be wary of anyone who says they’ll build you a web site or sell you a car for $600. There’s a possibility they’ll take your money and run. What’s more likely is that they’ll take your money and then build your site with a template. They may have a lot of templates to choose from, but they’ll all be rather generic. They’ll ask you for five pages of text and then slap it into a template and that’s it. You can’t have custom graphic design; you can’t have any interactivity; your site won’t be optimized for search engines and it will look like a $600 site.
Remember, a consultation with Tunnel Vision Design is always free and we just might be able to prevent you from wasting a thousand bucks.

Will my website be mobile-friendly?

100% yes. We only develop mobile-friendly websites at Tunnel Vision Design. The trend over the past several years is more and more people are viewing your companies website on their phone so we optimize your website for that format as well. View Our Services

What determines the timeline?

You do! We work as fast as you want us to. If you have a tight deadline or have the comfort of taking it slow…we can work with you. In the past we have turned out websites as fast as 6 weeks and some that take many months.

Can I See My Website While It’s In Progress?

Absolutely! In fact, we encourage it. We build your website on our development server, and provide you with a username and password so that you can log in and monitor the progress of your site. During this phase, we encourage your feedback if something isn’t quite the way you envisioned it or if you’ve changed your mind. Once your site is ready and you have provided your approval, we release it live on your server and submit your URL to the major search engines.
